Critters social calendar

Hi all,

For fear of being swallowed whole by the internet, critters wants to 'go offline' and into pubs, flats, and architecturally relevant spaces near you.  

We intend to continue the movie nights which we had over the holidays, they were very much enjoyed by all who attended. We’ll probably have to change the day and time of the holidays to suit our less liberal post-holiday schedules, most likely to Thursday evenings. How does this suit people?

Also, there are some exciting events on the horizon, so keep your ears to the ground for upcoming film screenings, exhibits, competitions and the like. There seems to be a lot of student activity quietly brewing around the school. Take the initiative and get involved.

And of course, as suggested earlier, a potluck. Maybe even a potluck by the mountain. Those who can’t ski can drink mulled wine and play tense matches of 500 or cranium. If you have a flat with some decent square-meterage relatively close to uni, shout out, as it’d be nice/easy to have a potluck down here too.

    WE will all meet at 7.30pm in the foyer of READINGS Courtney PLace. Its cheap tuesdays so $10 dollars.

    The move starts at 8pm.
    The plan is a BEER after if we all feeling keen.

    august 3rd is two weeks away yet.

    however, citizen architect is next tuesday.

    the saturday screening has apparently been sold out, but the daytime screenings at city gallery are a first come, first served basis of tickets being sold on the day.

    i'm thinking about collecting cash from those who want to come, going and buying tickets as soon as they're on sale (from midday i think).

    tickets are ten bucks I think, see me this week or on monday if you want me to get you a ticket.

  4. I'm definitely up for your Citizen Architect ticket buying prowess Amanda as I have Cost Planning at 10.30.
    Film starts at 12.15 so my understaning is that tickets are available for sale 1 hour before so from 11.15.
    Sadly the festival organisers weren't up for one of us saying a few words before the screenings...

    Inception certainly looks like a goodun.

    There are some up and coming movie nights being organised as part of the NYC trip. I am waiting to hear back from Meaghan to see if they are open to all. They will be on Tuesdays at 6.30pm starting August 3rd

  5. NYC film lineup has some enjoyable movies in there. If they are exclusively for NYCers, which would be unlikely, then we should team up with Studio to get a regular thing happening and invite the whole school.

  6. Tuesday night blockbusters at Readings tend to sell out quickly, should we plan to buy tickets in advance?

  7. The reason i was not to fussed is there is a screening every hour for the whole day 11 12 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9pm so if the 8pm as average seats or is sold out we can just catch the 9pm screening what you think?
